![]() ![]() Martha, who will provide you with the largest rucksack in the game, will not come to Flower Bud Village unless the Sanatorium is built. Other events or items depend upon the occurrence of these events. You must ship flowers if you would like to see Lyla open her Hearty Lyla Gift Shop. You must ship ores in order to persuade Tai to open his Smithy. You must ship 5 Good Clay if you would like to have the Atelier Saibara in your village. For example, you must ship 30 herbs in order to expand the Clinic to include the Sanatorium. In some cases, a certain quantity of a specific item must be shipped in order to 'unlock' an event or crop. As the Gourmet will inform you at 7 hearts: 'Actually, grade doesn't matter with ingredients used for cooking!' In other words, use the least valuable form of an item in recipes whenever possible. If, however, you intend to use the cooked item as a special gift, or to restore energy, that is a different matter. Always look at the Shipping Values of Cooked Items to discover whether or not it would be more profitable to ship the raw ingredients. It is only when you have the lowest quality of item that it is always worthwhile financially to cook it. If you use a Good Egg worth 80G, Good Milk worth 200G and Fertilised Cocoa worth 320G to make the Cocoa Pudding, you actually are selling it at a loss of 30G. For example, fertilised Cocoa is worth 320G and Cocoa Pudding is worth 570G. Once you have fertilised crops, you may find it is not worthwhile financially to 'cook' crops before shipping them. In other words, Cocoa ships for 150G but Fertilised Cocoa ships for 300G. With respect to the majority of crops, however, the value will be doubled. A fertilised Potato is worth no more than an ordinary Potato and a Fertilised Green Pepper is worth triple the value of an ordinary Green Pepper. A crop grown in fertilised soil will be worth double the amount that an ordinary crop is worth for the most part, although there are some exceptions in both directions.
